'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Kris Taylor Question

Following our plea on monday evening to consider the recall of saddlers midfielder Kris Taylor from his loan spell at Burton, today the club carried an interview which has answered some of the questions which have been circulating the stands at Bescot.

Quite simple really, due to the terms of his loan we cannot recall him. He will be at Burton until the end of the season even if all our midfielders were struck down with some strange illness. Another possible legacy from Mr Merson. This gives a possible insight to the level of the rift between Merse and Kris. As the details smell of 'get out and I don't want to see you back Kris '

Fortunatly the interview reveals that whilst Kris has been training with the saddlers a conversation has taken place with the latest manager and he has reassured Kris Taylor that he still has a future at the club. Taylor who is contracted to Walsall until the end of next season seems likely to be back at Bescot for pre season training determined to fight for a first team spot.

Whilst this is good news I cannot help but feel it would have been in Kris's and Walsalls best interest if Kris could have shown his worth in the last three games, as I wrote on monday.
