Gobern who had been training with the Saddlers was a surprise absentee from the team who took on Rotherham yesterday. It turns out that the previous week he'd been at the Dons training camp. Apparently once he knew Paul Ince was going to MK he wanted to go there as he knew they would be fighting for promotion.
Seems that Gobern has more faith in Ince than Blackburn Chairman John Williams. Hardly a loss for the Saddlers as there are plently of other wingers available at the moment and Gobern hardly set the League on fire when he was at Colchester United last season.
Another piece of news is that Vincent's inclusion in the squad yesterday was at the eleventh hour as he was pencilled in to play for Bournemouth against Tottenham on friday. Seems the Cherries transfer embargo has worked to the Saddlers favour as Vincent did a solid job at left back. Wonder if former Saddlers target Steve Lovell could also be offered a trial as he's training with Bournemouth at the moment but news is he may stay in Scotland as Hamilton have offered him terms.
