Vincent back at Walsall on trial

Every Saddler will be happy with the 2-1 win at Rotherham, but some will be left feeling surprised at the emergence of Jamie Vincent at half time.

The 34-year-old famously came to Walsall on-loan from Pompey in 2003, under former gaffer Colin Lee, but signed for Derby on a free transfer at the end of the season.

He made 12 appearances for the club and would be a welcome addition to add experience and cover to Nathan Sansara.

Wolves are up next at the Bescot on Tuesday, so many will see whether he is worth signing on a full time basis.

He was a good player originally, but at 34 does he have what it takes to hold down a first team place? Not sure
