Stanley boss: Hughes move down to money
Accrington Stanley's manager John Coleman has claimed that new Saddlers signing Mark Hughes moved to the Bescot because we offered him more money.
Coleman had been looking at signing Hughes after he had been on-trial at Stanley since his release from Northampton.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph: 'They (Walsall) were able to offer him a better deal, so that's life.
'He was originally supposed to sign for Crewe anyway.'
Somehow, I think it was something to do with the fact both Anthony Gerrard and Danny Fox, both former Saddlers and current friends of Hughes, told him that he could develop his ability here.
Also, we are in League One. Ask Chris Palmer, he will probably agree that money would not be a factor.
