'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hutch closes in on new signings

While players have been leaving the Bescot this week, the time is right to bring in fresh faces, according to CH.

With Jabo leaving to go to MK Dons yesterday, Hutch is keen to add to the squad with a striker being top of his shopping list.

Although, a defender and midfielders are also needed, Hutch is looking for the right players to replace the released Michael Ricketts and Stephen Hughes.

CH told the Express and Star: "I have been in touch with a lot of players about joining us and we have some targets in mind.

"I have been honest with them and told them the scenario. There are some very attractive targets we can go for, but the question is whether we can afford them.

'All the players I`ve spoken to are leaving their options open as long as possible.

"It`s about making them aware of our interest and we have been working behind the scenes.

"It`s difficult, but it`s the same for all clubs."

Hopefully we will see additions to the Walsall squad in the next couple of weeks, and Vital Walsall will bring you the news as soon as we get it.

Plus, don't forget to put June 17th in your diaries, as the new fixtures for next season will be revealed.

Vital Walsall will bring you the full list of fixtures, picking out the key dates for next season.
