Is Victory GRANTed

Back in consideration for a starting place, Grant Smith maybe the link we are missing.

Having hit the heights with his two-goal burst against Tranmere, things have very much gone off track for Grant Smith in recent weeks. Been forced out of his last game the injury kept him out of the dismal team performance at Blackpool. When fit Walsall were prevented from playing against Bristol City since the Robins refused a cheeky late bid to get authorisation. Despite the fact he couldn't play he nailed his colours to the Saddlers mast in the best way he could. He public stated his loyalty was with the Bescot boys, since we needed the points and Bristol are safe. So Granted turned informer providing what information he could about his Ashton gate colleagues.

So now his attention must turn to on the pitch activities. He has already turned out in a number of positions; central midfield left midfield and left back. In fact his performances as an emergency left back in the game at Southend was one of the main reasons we came away with a point that day. He has performed equally well wide left, which is strange since it was his ineffectiveness in this position which caused his loan release from Bristol. He's favoured position is central midfield and his dead ball accuracy and ability to support the strikers could be vital in the last few games.

So it is hoped that Grant can add to his 3 goals to date to pull us away from relegation. It is a twist of fate that by helping us he may well condemn his former club Swindon to the drop.
