What the media say......

What the media say......

All you seem to find on the backpages these days is Cristiano Ronaldo this, Gareth Barry that.

Well there is no need to worry, as Vital Walsall does the research for you, as we bring you the latest round-up of transfer rumours circulating the net this week.

Doing the rounds this week was news of Jabo Ibehre's possible move to Crystal Palace, with many websites and even the Express and Star publishing the possibility of the rumour becoming fact. However, let's face it, the move is unlikely as Warnock will not want to gamble on a player who has little experience of the Championship, as Palace look to achieve their ambition of returning to the Premiership.

ALso this week, the veteran former Fulham striker has been linked with a move to the Bescot as a replacement for the departing Michael Ricketts. Again, the likelihood of this happening is pretty small, as Hutch will probably look for a hitman who is guaranteed to get goals next season and form a formidable partnership with Troy Deeney.

As for the annual Darren Byfield rumour, it seems that any form of a deal between the player and Walsall this summer is dead. The 32-year-old is linked with a return to WS1 at everytime he leaves a club, but I would be surprised if a deal was struck between the two parties.
