Next season's League One sees the Premiership old-boys in a small reunion, with teams like Leeds United, Southampton, Norwich, and Charlton.
Can we shake off the 'Little Walsall' tag and be better than all these teams?
According to Dwayne Mattis....yes!
He told the Birmingham Mail: "All this small club stuff is rubbish. It is 11 versus 11 at the end of the day. The Bescot is a tight stadium and if we can get more people in there and liven it up a bit, teams won`t like going there.
"If we want to do anything next season then we have to make the Banks`s a really hard place to come to."
He sees the reason behind any success next season lies with the club's up-and-coming youngsters, such as Troy Deeney, Alex Nicholls, Richard Taundry, Mark Bradley, and Manny Smith.
He added: "They have played a lot of games and done very well. Troy went on a great goalscoring run. He always works hard.
"Alex has played a lot of games as well and that can only bode well for the club in the future when you have young lads like them who can play 30-40 games a season."
Am interestng summer is ahead for the Saddlers, who will need to add to the squad before any realistic challenge for promotion. We shall see!
