Walsall Legend Kearns has great faith in Rene and says that the young Irish man should sign and should not consider himself second choice next season against whoever he competes against.
There seemed little reason to offer Rene a new contract - after 11 chances and 11 failures to keep a clean sheet and the fact he doesn't communicate or install any confidence in his back four.
Personally I want the Saddlers to got for Mark Tyler who has been released by Peterborough - who is being tracked by Bury and Luton.
