Byfield in for Saddlers return?

Byfield in for Saddlers return?

This rumour seems to circulate the internet every summer or transfer window, but could it actually be true this time?

After the departure of Michael Ricketts, Walsall really need a new face to lead the line next season and could it be Darren Byfield?

The 32-year-old former Saddlers star, who was drafted in by former legendary boss 'Sir` Ray Graydon in 2001, is currently plying his trade with Doncaster Rovers, but it was rumoured to be at the Oldham game last weekend.

Did you spot him? If you did, let us know.

Also, other rumours suggest that Wigan manager Steve Bruce is eyeing a bid for the young striker Troy Deeney. Two words….yeah right!
