'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Striker Target released

In the days of Merse interest was shown in bother Chesters Ryan Lowe and Ben Davies. Merson actually went as far as publically declaring his interest in the press and admitting to having spoke to the players agents when he recieved a aproach.

Ryan Lowe now has been released from his contract by mutual agreement. Ryan who was out of contract in the summer had already stated his desire to leave Chester and told the club that he would not be signing a new contract. So by comming to an agreement seems to have been benificial to both parties.

Ryan is now in the process of using the contacts and ground work carried out by his agent. Ryan is of course trying to get a club which will give him the highest standard of football. With the change of manager it is uncertain how strong our interest now is. Also as we don't know what division we will be playing in next season also complicates matters.

In the mean time Ryan has linked up with sure to be relegated Championship club Crewe Alexandra. This is on a trial basis, and if things don't work out a number of other clubs including the Saddlers are bound to be interested.

This looks like the sort of player you need to start building a winning side again.
