Saddlers New sponsors

Following the demise of Healthcare who were the sponsors of not only the youth team set up but also the stand that houses the away following there has been a big hole in the clubs budget.

The club have today announced that a locally based company has stepped in to fill the void. Green Lane base Homecare have already got there signage up and the cheque is hopefully in the bank. Although exact figures have not been released.

Roy Whalley said at todays press conference 'we are very grateful to homeserve for responding so quickly to the difficult situation we found ourselves in'

Of course the club are also hopeful of generating income to replace the shortfall for youth development by the link up with a telecommunications company, who will act on the saddlers behalf. If you have a BT telephone line and the club have your details then expect a call. They promise to cut your phone bill and 10% of your bill will be donated to the club for developing the future star players.

Of course the big fish we are trying to land is a major sponsor for the rebuilding of the now called Homecare stand. Planning has already been approved. The club of course are un willing to go ahead with the development until the finance is in place. The stand which will cost approx 2 million to build, will have a large advertising space to rival the fort dunlop type advertising, hence the two million price tag which has been rumoured to been requested. A number of companies were thought to have shown interest but no firm enquires placed. The fact we have gone ahead with the Homecare sponsorship, sugests that the big fish has got away at the moment.
