Hednesford Town 0 3 Walsall
Played at Keys Park
JM used the chance to give five trialists 45 minutes on saturday as he revisited his former club. In truth it was a good run out and we had way too much for the Unibond side. The only real chance for Hendesford was when Rene Gilmartin made a mess of a cross but the strikers were unable to capitalise. Talking of missed chances our new signing Jabo Iberhe missed a few good chances although like the rest of the squad had spent the first week on fitness work rather than ball work.
Our first goal came in the 53rd min after JM had changed the team completly at half time.Nicholls was upended in the Pitmen`s box and Alex got up to convert the penalty. In the 70th min, we made it 0-2 as Ishy kept his head to coolly slot the ball home. Walsall's purple patch was complete in the 73rd min. Another splendid Ishmel effort, as he placed a good shot home after an individual run Lets hope that is a sign of things to come.
