Walsall interested in Cherry defender

Sources say Walsall are not to happy that there interest in the Bournemouth Defender Josh Gowling has leaked out, with the defender himself also commenting on a possible move back to his midlands home land.

If the player did become a Saddler we would hope he recaptured the form of the season before last where he looked comfortable at this level, although last season he slipped below that standard as the Cherries struggled both on and off the field.

Vital Bournemouth have reported that theAFC Bournemouth defender Josh has admitted that two other clubs have offered him deals for next season.

Gowling told the Daily Echo...

'I've been away with my girlfriend and had one offer before I left and one since I've been back.

'I haven't received the offer from Bournemouth yet because it was sent by registered post while I was away but I know what's on the table...'

'...I've been away from home since I was 16 so if a club closer to home is interested then that is something I need to consider. It's a factor but not a major one. I will do what is best for my career and not something just to be comfortable at home.'

So although been close to his home could be a consideration it also has to be the right move....thats fare but that might be a stumbling block unless we can sell the future vision for the club.....JB and Mr Mullen over too you aided by the sun tan man of course.

He was linked with Donny a few years ago and almost joined. I took a good look whenever we played them after that and he looks a decent defender.
