Walsall join Akinfenwa race

Walsalls Express and Star reports that New Walsall manager Jimmy Mullen will face competition from Leyton Orient and Northampton if he wants to sign out-of-contract striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, who impressed against the Saddlers last season.

However it is thought that Adebayo may well favour a move back to his native London, hence putting Orient very much in the driving seat. He is also very grateful to Cobblers manager Gray for helping get his career back on track, so on the surface we are at least third choice unless
other factors can sway the move our way.
