'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bonser spends money

The work has started on a new sprinkler system under the pitch at Walsall. The state of art pop sprinkler system is part of some intensive rejuvenation work on the Banks's pitch, as the top surface which has become compacted will be replaced with a layer of fibre sand also added to aid drainage. The groundsman states that it is hoped that this will enable the pitch to maintain a high standard throughout the season.
As we all know the pitch was quiet poor ands was in fact causing us more problems than the opposition we were playing. So this money could be equally important as money put in the budget for the playing staff.

Of course this goes hand in hand with the investment in the new training ground which the club hope will improve the quality of players we can attract to the club....all we need now is a manager and a few decent players.
