'If It's Football, It's Vital'

England U21 v Wales U21 and Walsall

In last nights under 21 game Walsall midfielder Mark Bradley was restricted to a spot on the bench as he watched another impressive performance by second subsitute Scott Dann who was sold to Coventry by Walsall last January. His defensive partner at Walsall Dan Fox watched from the stands as a groin injury meant that he had to withdraw from the England squad.

It is nice to see ex Walsall and current Walsall players gaining international experience, however it does show the quality of players we lost in January, you cannot strip any team at this level of two players of international quality (albeit under 21) with out replacing them and not suffer. However at least the bank balance is benifiting from a million plus bonus which is important, just ask fans of Rotherham, Luton or Bournemouth!!
